Unit Annual Pictures
Lewis & Clark has teamed up with Northwest Sports Photography to offer group as well as individual pictures of our Young Marines.
The photos will be taken on Saturday, April 3, 2010 during our drill times. This is the same day as the Spring PFT; therefore, drill should be well attended, so that we have maximum number of Young Marines for the group photo.
Please make sure your Young Marine is on time for drill that day, as picture taking will begin promptly at 0830 with the group photos taken first, followed by individual pictures. We expect to be wrapped up with photos by 1000, just in time for PFT. Also, please remind your Young Marine to have their uniform in top condition for that day so that they will look awesome!!
Picture packets will be available at drill on 3/6/10. Please fill out the packet and send with payment via your Young Marine on Saturday, April 3, 2010. Fundraising Accounts cannot be used for picture payment.
This will be an annual photography session with next year’s date tentatively scheduled for April 30, 2011.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Communications Coordinator, Ms. Wood, at 503-997-7766 or squeaky.racer{at}comcast.net
RECRUITS will have a group shot ONLY taken - no individual pictures.

PFT - Quarter 3
The unit will run the Quarter 3 PFT (Physical Fitness Test) on April 3rd. A make-up PFT will be given on May 1st for those who missed it in April. If you missed the PFT on 4/3/10, you MUST be at the make-up on 5/1/10 to get your PFT logged for Quarter 3.
It is a requirement of National that each YM in our unit has a current PFT score for each six-month period in order to be eligible for S.P.A.C.E.S. They define each six-month period as October-March and April-September.
It is a requirement of our unit that each YM has to have a score logged both first and third quarter or the YM does not participate in any activity that's held away from the Elks Lodge. That can be a day trip, a morning or afternoon trip, or one of our exciting encampments:
Operation Running Water (the river rafting trip) in July
Operation Belleau Wood in July
multi-unit encampment at Rilea in August
summer unit encampment in August
Recruits run their PFT during their recruit cycle. The above rules/regulations apply to them only after they graduate recruit cycle.
